Attitudes towards remote working
“The only surprise about working from home is the fact that people are surprised to see that it works. It has been working for years!”
We surveyed our clients and candidates on their attitudes to remote working before and after it was enforced.
Before Covid-19 required it, 16% indicated that they viewed working from home negatively. Now, that is zero; with over half indicating that they view it very positively.
But it’s a delicate balance:
“Productivity in solo/discrete work is about the same but less productive on certain projects where team working is required. Communication by email is not as nuanced.”
