Leading tax professionals offer their perspectives in Pure’s latest Journal for Heads of Tax
We’re proud to be able to announce the release of our 5th annual Journal for Heads of Tax.
The most extensive yet, the journal contains articles from some of the biggest names in the tax world:
- The future of international tax
- Managing tax risk at BT
- Bridge the Gap
- How to get the top job
- The changing role of the tax advisor
- Prospects and three big challenges for 2019
- Adapting your approach to achieve effective global hiring in tax
- Can coaching change your life?
It also presents the results of a Pure survey completed by 44% of FTSE 100 and 250 heads of tax, covering remuneration, budgets and resourcing. Each article will be published in the coming months on www.puresearch.com.
The journal was launched at an exclusive breakfast at The Ivy. FTSE heads of tax and Big 4 partners were given the opportunity to ask Richard Williams, Neil Harris and John Connors questions on their articles and Ewen Burns (Managing Director, Pure) revealed the stories behind the headlines for remuneration within the tax world.
Following the initial panel discussion breakfast was served and the tables were able to continue the conversations around the key topics affecting the tax world. Table conversations covered the importance of having the ‘right’ team and the talent pipeline in place to face challenges in the future. We also heard conversations around how tax has played a part in transformation and how successful (or unsuccessful) it has been, views on life beyond tax and broadening out into the wider business and also where the heads of tax are expecting to find the required specialist skills in technology.
Overall the breakfast proved to be an insightful morning providing attendees with the opportunity to delve deeper into Pure’s 5th annual Journal for Heads of Tax while networking with their peers and discussing the most pertinent changes and challenges that face the tax function today.
