Position: Tax Manager
Job Description
The Tax Manager is responsible for preparing and reviewing tax provision work papers, tax return work papers, and managing routine tax-related matters for the U.S., Canada, Hong Kong, China, and other countries. This role reports directly to the U.S. Tax Senior Manager and involves training junior tax staff in the U.S.
Key Responsibilities:

Review and prepare ASC 740 income tax provision calculations, U.S. federal and state tax returns, and supporting calculations including:
- Projected pre-tax book income analysis
- Unicap - Section 263A
- GILTI – Section 951A
- U.S. tax depreciation calculations and fixed asset reconciliations
- International Forms 5471 and 8858 and supporting schedules
- Foreign assets with U.S. tax depreciation for QBAI calculation
- CbyC reporting
- State Apportionment
- Multistate income tax returns

Review and/or prepare ASC 740 income tax provision calculations, tax returns, and supporting calculations for Canada, Hong Kong, China, and other countries, including:
- Foreign current tax expense and deferred tax balance roll forward
- Foreign ending deferred tax balance proof
- Foreign tax accounts roll forward and reconciliation
- Foreign uncertain tax positions and valuation allowance
- Canadian treaty-based and income tax returns
- Canadian quarterly and annual tax provision work papers

Participate in other projects such as:
- Transfer pricing analysis and documentation
- Research & development tax credit study
- Tax process improvement and automation
- Assisting with IRS and various state income and indirect tax audits
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (Master’s in Business Taxation is a plus)
- Minimum of six years of tax experience in public accounting (a combination of "Big-4" and corporate tax department experience preferred)
- Must be a U.S. Citizen due to ITAR requirements
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office
- Strong multitasking abilities and capability to meet tight deadlines
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Experience with Cognos, Fixed Asset CS, CorpTax, or Alteryx software is a plus
Compensation and Benefits:

Most benefits are available starting the first of the month following the date of hire.
Compensation is based on various factors including skill set, experience, certifications, and other business needs. The typical salary range for this role is $92,937 - $163,441, with additional potential for company bonuses or shift premiums based on the role assignment and location.
