Customs Consultant

As part of the customs team, the consultant will:

• Draft high-quality commercial customs advice for clients managing high-value assets.
• Review technical advice prepared by team members.
• Conduct client meetings to understand their needs and expectations.
• Support Tax Directors by maintaining and sharing technical updates.
• Provide customs advice to other divisions and client companies.
• Develop expertise in customs issues specific to business aviation and yachts.
• Deliver internal staff training.
• Build strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and service providers to ensure excellent service

Responsibilities

This role involves providing customs advice for high-value assets, conducting technical reviews, and supporting Tax Directors while ensuring compliance with industry-specific requirements in business aviation and yachting. It also requires building strong client and stakeholder relationships, offering training, and fostering collaboration across divisions to maintain high service standards.

Desired Experience

The ideal candidate will have:

• Strong knowledge of customs regulations, compliance, and their application to high-value assets like yachts and business aviation.
• Proven track record in providing tailored tax or customs advice to clients.
• Ability to manage client relationships, including conducting meetings to understand their needs and delivering customised solutions.
• Familiarity with aviation and yachting sectors, particularly regarding customs issues.

Location

Remote, with some travel to the office when required.
