Global Indirect Tax Manager/Lead

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct overarching reviews and risk analyses of global indirect tax compliance filings across the UK, Europe, the Americas, and Asia. Manage the compliance team to meet filing deadlines and maintain record-keeping and invoicing obligations worldwide.
- Operate and monitor the group’s indirect tax processes and controls, including compliance with UK’s Senior Accounting Officer and Corporate Criminal Offence rules, as well as similar global regulations.
- Collaborate with the Indirect Tax Team to implement process improvements, with a focus on automation in response to global tax reporting developments, such as eInvoicing, SAF-T, and real-time reporting.
- Lead efforts to manage global indirect tax audits.
- Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to provide support and advice on indirect tax matters, including UK VAT technical issues, international indirect tax principles, "place of supply," and "electronically supplied services" knowledge.
- Ensure compliance with US sales tax obligations.
- Assist with indirect tax projects and transactions to optimize the group’s tax position.
- Manage relationships with external advisors and compliance providers.
- Partner with the legal and contracting team to handle commercial and contractual queries.
- Support the general management of the indirect tax compliance team based in India.
Ideal Skills and Experience: The successful candidate will be a hands-on indirect tax professional (ACA, CPA, ACCA, CTA, ATT, or equivalent) with:
- A strong understanding of global indirect tax regulations and reporting requirements for goods, services, and electronically supplied services.
- Proven expertise in international VAT compliance, with a focus on system improvements, automation, and process standardization.
- Excellent IT skills and hands-on experience with VAT tools, billing systems, and ERP systems, leveraging them to automate VAT compliance.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A team-oriented mindset and a willingness to take on new tasks.
- A natural curiosity and desire to stay updated with fast-changing tax regulations and digital product taxation.
- A structured and organized approach to work, with a proven ability to meet strict deadlines.
