Head of Tax

This is an exciting opportunity to shape the tax offering for a growing Credit Fund. You will work closely with the wider business to ensure the all elements of tax from fund structuring to deals advisory and wider compliance overview is fit for purpose. 

Responsibilities

As with all first time tax hires the role will be varied and all facets of tax will fall under the jurisdiction of this hire. The duties in the first instance will be as follows but not limited to: 

• Develop and implement global tax strategies.
• Lead tax planning, compliance, and reporting ( compliance is review only as it outsourced) 
• Collaborate with various teams to integrate tax considerations.
• Manage external advisor relationships for optimal transaction structuring.
• Advise on tax structuring for investments and business initiatives.
• Stay updated on tax laws and provide proactive guidance.
• Oversee global tax implications, including reporting and governance.
• Drive process improvements in tax and finance function

Desired Experience

Recent proven experience of working in the tax function of an Investment Managers in a leadership capacity.
Experience in private credit tax is necessary
Expertise in international tax advisory, compliance, and reporting, with a strong understanding of cross-border transactions is also desirable.
