Interim VAT Manager

The VAT policy team is looking to bring in a manager for a 3 to 4 month contract, with scope for extension as soon as possible. The responsibilities include:

• Understanding the business challenges caused by VAT rules and new regulations across the business
• Reviewing new VAT regulations to identify key points and assess their impact.
• Creating talking points and best practices for new rules like marketplace VAT collection and data sharing.
• Monitoring upcoming VAT regulatory changes and summarizing their effects for internal teams.
• Writing reports for senior leadership on VAT issues and strategies to address them.

Desired Experience

5+ years of VAT experience, working in a large corporation, and experience providing EMEA VAT advice

Key Elements of the Role

- Reviewing updates on new international VAT regulations, identifying key points, and preparing summaries for team discussions. - Using a central database to find similar developments in other countries and check existing materials to handle new changes - Assisting team members (rather than stakeholders) by supporting research efforts, drafting, and summarizing policy updates.
