International Tax Manager

The key duties of the international tax manager are:

• Manage the firm’s international tax compliance to ensure all filing obligations are met accurately and on time.
• Work alongside the Head of International Tax as a subject matter expert on international tax matters.
• Regularly review international tax compliance and structuring, with a particular focus on the potential merger with a US firm.
• Take a proactive approach to international tax issues, building strong connections and collaborating with other Business Services teams and external advisers as a key part of the role.

Responsibilities

The key responsibilities: 

• Oversee global tax compliance, including income and corporation tax filings ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Manage the preparation and submission of the firm’s Country-by-Country Report (CbCR), Master and Local Files, and plan for Pillar 2 compliance.
• Conduct country-by-country analysis of the tax impact of a potential US firm merger, focusing on partner tax rates and operational processes.
• Ensure accurate tax payments, provisions, and maximisation of double tax relief, while monitoring statutory tax balances.
• Support strategic projects such as office openings, lateral hires, and changes to partner structures in local jurisdictions.
• Monitor and implement responses to changes in tax legislation (e.g., transfer pricing, Pillar 2, e-invoicing) in line with the firm’s tax strategy.
• Collaborate with non-tax colleagues to integrate tax considerations into business decision-making.

Desired Experience

• Experience working in a partnership setting and partnership tax 
• Qualified accountant and/or tax adviser
• Strong tax technical knowledge across all aspects of international tax

Location

London. The team is very flexible, working one day in the office and the option to work for a short time in another jurisdiction (subject to approval).
