Litigation Associate – Start-Up Boutique

  • Permanent
  • London
  • £120000 - £160000 per annum USD / Year

Pure Search are instructed on an exciting opportunity with a start-up litigation boutique paying mid-Atlantic level salaries and with significant growth plans.

The Company:

Our client is a complete newcomer to the litigation landscape, representing a completely contrasting and far more innovative environment compared to traditional private practice firms. Working with a number of former-US and City partners, you will play a key role in building the firm, with significant scope for fast-track progression and something very different to the ‘big law’ environment.

The firm are working on big ticket, high-profile and high value international disputes, for a broad and diverse client base. Current cases include a multibillion pound competition claim and a major international offshore trust claim.

The Role:

This role will ideally suit someone looking for something different from the ‘big law’ environment which is a far cry from the “hours” culture of some international firms. Instead, this will suit someone entrepreneurial looking for a start-up option with substantial investment with guarantees around the quality of work and client contact.

The partners have an incredibly strong pedigree and their work spans everything including financial services, civil fraud, high-value international litigation and arbitration, renewable energy and shareholder disputes. You will play a key role at an early stage in the litigation process in terms of shaping and conducting claims, working closely with legal counsel when appropriate. Despite being a start-up, there is already a structure in place with senior, junior and paralegal support.

About You:

You will have gained 3-5 years post-qualification litigation experience at a leading City firm and be looking for something very different with genuine ownership over your work, hours and career progression. You will be someone that will thrive on a more start-up environment and be keen to have a say over the growth and development of the firm.
