We’re seeking a skilled Securitisation Lawyer to provide legal and regulatory support across a range of secured funding initiatives. This role involves close collaboration with colleagues in the Treasury Legal function and offers the opportunity to lead on the development of new funding structures, including standalone risk transfer transactions. You’ll deliver expert legal advice to internal stakeholders and play a key role in managing secured funding programmes and bespoke trades across multiple legal entities.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a lead legal advisor to the Treasury function on secured funding matters.
- Support the execution of standalone issuances, including significant risk transfer and similar transactions.
- Maintain and enhance secured debt issuance programmes.
- Draft and review legal documentation for Treasury-led projects and transactions, working with external counsel where appropriate.
- Assist with due diligence, review of representations and warranties, disclosure processes, and overall transaction management for securitisation deals.
Experience
Desired experience:
- Qualified solicitor in England & Wales with solid experience in securitisation, ideally gained in private practice or in-house with an investment bank.
- Strong understanding of significant risk transfer structures and derivatives.
- Confident in identifying and advising on legal risks and mitigation strategies.
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on execution and transaction management.
