Senior VAT/Customs Advisor (Remote)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Tax Adviser to join a dynamic and growing advisory team. The role is with a firm of Chartered Tax Advisers, specializing in providing expert VAT and Customs advice to the business aviation and yachting industries across Europe and the UK.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering tailored tax advice to a diverse international client base, with a strong emphasis on VAT and Customs matters related to business aviation, yacht ownership, and associated operational arrangements.

This position offers a rewarding and challenging career within a supportive and collaborative team environment. There will be opportunities to travel, build client relationships, and attend industry conferences and shows. While remote working is an option, the candidate must be willing to travel to the office in Stansted as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drafting high-quality, commercially focused VAT and Customs advice for clients managing high-value assets. (Full technical training in Customs will be provided.)
• Conducting technical reviews of advice prepared by team members.
• Meeting with clients to understand their circumstances, expectations, and requirements.
• Supporting Tax Directors by maintaining and disseminating technical updates.
• Providing VAT and Customs support to other divisions within the group and to client companies.
• Gaining expertise in the specific Customs and VAT issues relevant to the business aviation and yachting sectors.
• Delivering training to internal staff.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and third-party service providers to uphold exceptional service standards both internally and externally.

Desired Experience

10 years + VAT Advising with customs preferably
