Key Responsibilities
- Lead the transition of tax activities from regional finance teams into the central tax team.
- Manage tax work across corporate income tax, indirect tax, and transfer pricing.
- Act as the main point of contact for tax matters during the transition process.
- Build strong relationships with finance teams, business stakeholders, and external tax advisors.
- Understand, document, and improve existing tax processes and controls.
- Prepare and maintain compliance trackers, process documentation, and transition plans.
- Ensure tax filings, payments, and reporting deadlines are met.
- Identify and address any process or control gaps.
- Support the development of a smooth handover into business-as-usual operations once transitions are complete.
- Work independently while managing multiple stakeholders and priorities.
Experience Required
- CPA, ACA, ACCA, CTA, or equivalent professional qualification.
- At least 5 years’ experience in tax, either in-house, practice, or a combination of both.
- Good working knowledge of corporate income tax and indirect taxes.
- Experience managing tax projects, process improvements, or transformation programmes.
- Experience working across multiple countries and jurisdictions.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external advisors.
- Knowledge of tax compliance, reporting, controls, and governance.
- Experience using ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite.
- Advanced Excel skills.
