Pure Insights: Q&A with Elliot Ford

As an Australian who made the move from Sydney to London, I can genuinely say (apart from the weather) that it was the best decision I have ever made, both personally and professionally.

Relocating to another country is never easy however, for Antipodean lawyers moving to London can offer some amazing opportunities. Extensive travelling, meeting new people, experiencing a new city with so much to offer and all whilst further developing your career.

As the London recruitment market continues to be busier than ever, both in in-house legal teams and in private practice, I thought this could be a fantastic opportunity to interview an Australian lawyer I have worked with over the years who has achieved all those things.

Elliot is currently Legal Counsel at Twilio (global technology company), where he has been for over a year. Since arriving in London, he has held similar roles with well-known brands Mercer and Danone.

Elliot has kindly agreed to share some of his experiences with me as an Australian-qualified lawyer now living and working in London.
