Tax career tips, in partnership with the Women in Tax Network

Register

In partnership with the Women in Tax Network, we are running a virtual breakfast for women to share tips on progressing in their tax career.

Date: 13 October 2020
Time: 0830 – 0930 BST

“Bring Your Own Breakfast” (BYOB) is a relaxed, informal networking event organised by Thames Valley Women in Tax.

This breakfast will focus on early-stage career tips including juggling exams, work and life.

Whether you’ve recently started a graduate role in tax, are mid-way through tax exams, or those are in the dim and distant past for you, this event is designed as a way to connect with women at an early stage in their careers. An opportunity to meet others in a similar position and also connect with people further advanced in their careers to swap tips, share experiences, and hear what it’s like in other organisations.

This event will be an informal start to your Tuesday, with a chance to discuss this prevalent topic in smaller groups while enjoying your breakfast from home. No prior knowledge or reading is required, this is simply an opportunity to get together and share our experiences.

About the Women in Tax Network

The Women In Tax network was formed in mid-2015, with the objective of raising the voice of women in all spheres of tax and being a supportive network for those at an early stage of their careers. Our launch event on 2 November 2015 attracted an audience of around 100 and we are now holding events in Edinburgh, Cambridge, the Thames Valley, Manchester, Bristol, West Mids, East Mids and Leeds as well as events in London.

Our annual panel debate (held in London) and Speaker Series of events are open to all (women and men) with an interest in tax. Our Masterclass Series are small, practical workshops where we welcome women working or wanting to return to the tax profession (such as accountancy, law, in-house, academia, and government).
