Senior Indirect Tax Accountant

Duties include: 

• Utilize the Vertex Returns program to prepare, assess, and submit indirect tax returns across over forty-five US states and Canadian provinces. Establish new tax jurisdictions when necessary and conduct electronic filing and payments where feasible
• Gather state sales and use tax data from Vertex reports and SAP accounts receivable and payable invoices
• Address inquiries regarding sales and use tax details, including determining tax applicability and rates
• Create quarterly reports on sales by state for each legal entity to monitor nexus requirements.
• Manage and organize all customer records, sales tax reports, and related documents, including resale certificates and export proofs.
• Compile documentation for sales and use tax audits and correspond with state and local tax auditors as needed.
• Prepare property tax renditions and payment requests.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts for state sales and use tax and execute adjustments and accruals for sales tax journal entries
• Maintain consistent and punctual attendance.
